Time

No rants or reviews today. I just wanted to share this little gem:

The long-running webcomic "XKCD" took on an interesting project a few months ago. The webcomic, often wry and witty, insightful and covering a various amount of topics and concepts, tends to post fun little vignettes in their stick-figure world. It is also, among regulars, well known for the extra "punchline" hidden in rollover text (for those unfamiliar this is where you position your mouse over an image, comic strips usually, and out will pop a little dialogue box, with a few words-to-two-sentences. some descriptive, but the more html-minded can turn this into a "second joke" when it comes to webcomics).

Recently-ish, said XKCD had a one-panel comic entitled "time". their rollover text? "wait for it".

Out of curiosity, I bookmarked this specific comic rather than my usual, "most recent comic" page bookmark. To my delight, I discovered that every few hours, the comic actually changed!

It has become something of a routine, checking in on it every few days to see things grew in this panel.

however, someone took it a step further, and has provided a time-lapse chronology of the progress this  little timestory undergoes.  It is pretty much updated, though I'd place it slightly behind the actual comic's current update. That being said, you can scroll by half-hour or Hour speeds and see the progress of 1180 hours (approx 50 days) of this comic's flux.

Interested parties who aren't familiar with a previous time mr. Monroe has done something truly epic and unique with his comic can also check out the indescribably huge click-and-drag comic (it should be noted that I knew about it and at the time still had no idea how immense it secretly was. You can lose an hour scrolling through it, or more) here;

As this train rolls quietly onward, these types of things help center me when my head is spinning and I'm far from calm. Hopefully this can provide a little serenity to your own day.
